Hiram Bullock was probably the most naturally gifted guitarist I have met. Inspiration was directly welded to his fingertips. We first met when he was a NYC session player. We really began an association when he played on Carla Bley's arrangement of "Misterioso". He played on both of my recordings of Carla's and Steve Swallow's next projects. Then he hired me to record Mike Stern's first American label release–followed quickly by this album.
Here's Hiram's version of Steely Dan's "Pretzel Logic".
